These are the protocols we have adopted to keep everyone safe.
Vaccination – All coaches and athletes must be fully vaccinated to participate.
Masks – Masks are required when indoors (Erg Room) at all times. Masks are optional outside and on the water.
Disinfecting – We will continue to disinfect the oar grips and erg handles after each row.
Coxswains – Are strongly encouraged to place a finger cot (AB will supply) over the microphone. Please dispose of properly after practice. Coxswains in stern coxed boats are strongly encouraged to wear a mask.
Water Practice Location: Spypond Boat Ramp
Land Practice Location: 334 Pleasant Street, Belmont, MA, USA
Note: Athletes should arrive 10 minutes before practice.
What to Wear
Every rower must bring a water bottle and water shoes to each practice.
Varsity rowers will wear tight fitting spandex uni-suits (unis) to regattas and novices race in compression shorts (tight fitting spandex shorts) and a tech-shirt (looser athletic t-shirt). These can be adjusted for the weather with leggings and compression shirts (tight fitting long-sleeve shirts) or other tight fitting weather appropriate attire.
At practice rowers are expected to wear tight fitting shorts, leggings, or pants with their choice of top (t-shirt, tank top, etc. all work).
At the start of each season an official AB online store will open where rowers can purchase their uniforms with the AB logo on them.
